World Youth Day will be held in Lisbon, Portugal August 1-6.
Price of the trip – land only = $3,340 plus airfare.
We will be sightseeing in Spain for 9 days prior to arriving in Lisbon and then visiting Fatima and Coimbra after WYD.

World Youth Day 2023 Lisbon Itinerary
Depart Seattle at 1:30 pm on Delta
The flight scheduled to arrive at 11:40 am.
Transfer to hotel to check-in to rooms if ready or drop luggage in storage.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will take a professional guided walking tour Gothic Quarter and the Cathedral (3 hours).

Afternoon departure to Montserrat
Visit Throne of the Virgin and evening Mass

Overnight MONTSERRAT
Following breakfast at the hotel, we check-out and depart for Zaragoza (~3.5 hours). We will visit Our Lady of the Pilar, where the Blessed Mother appeared to St. James in A.D. 40.
Drive ~4.5 hours to Avila, the medieval walled city and home of St. Teresa.

After breakfast at the hotel, we take a professional guided tour of the walled city 2-3 hours.
Mass at St. Teresa's tomb
Visit Salamanca for 3-5 hours
Dinner in Salamanca or Madrid

After breakfast at the hotel, we will sightsee Madrid

We will have a guided tour of the Prado Museum.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Cathedral and bell tower, the Royal castle, Plaza de Espana, Maria Luisa Park and possibly the Torre del Oro.

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Lisbon.
We may be able to stop for a swim in the Atlantic Ocean.

On average, you walk about 1 to 2 miles per day. One or two days can be about 1 mile or less and one or two days can be as long as 3 to 4 miles.

Yes, you can charge batteries at your hotel each night.
Yes. There are many ATMs available in the larger citiies. There are few ATMs available in small towns. You should bring 20-30 Euros with you from the U.S. or you can stop at the exchange or ATM at the airport in Europe.
Yes. Wi-Fi will be available in the hotels we stay in. Although if many people are using it at the same time, it can be slow at times.
Unlike most all other Tour Operators, we include all these tips saving you $10-15/day. On group dinners the tips to the wait staff are included.
